In this day and age of stance, it’s getting more and more difficult to stand out from the rest of the crowd. However , Tauriq Ajam’s 1976 W115 230.4 Mercedes-Benz finds it effortless standing out from the rest.
We shot this feature on a sunny Sunday morning at Groote Constantia, the oldest wine estate in South Africa and provincial heritage site in the suburb of Constantia in Cape Town, South Africa. We figured that this location would be perfect to feature this classic Bagged Benz as the nature of the history and the ride compliments each other.
Tauriq Ajam is the third owner of the vehicle and it only has 62000km since brand new in 1976. This game changer was found in Kimberley, the diamond city, with a low 44 000km on the clock. The previous owner, had the vehicle for 3 years and seldom drove it. The vehicle was garaged for most her life, hence the “clean” condition she is in.
The Mercedes-Benz, more commonly known as Mila and The Game Changer, fits the criteria of KIC Society impeccably well. Mila has been fitted with AirLift Air suspension and OZ Vega Splits to create a “floorless” stance. Other than that everything is completely original on the car - Keep It Clean.
The future plans for Mila :
“Fit 16” splits and get her to sit lower”
“My goal with all my carsare to get them as low as possible and get the wheel fitment perfected”
