We shot this feature on a windy Sunday evening, with the elements of nature against us, and making it extremely challenging to shoot, we got through it, and now, we give you Arno de Beer’s Mercedes Benz C240 W202.
Arno’s Benz is a 2000 model which comes from Namibia and was bought at Rola Motors and previously used as a company car. Arno decided that he wanted to be different, taking a so called “old man’s car” and making it his own.
“I’ve never seen a Mercedes model like mine done up or aired, I just wanted to try something new and different.”
Arno’s Benz is fitted with a full Air Lift air suspension kit, AMG wheels which are sprayed cream (at that time, it is now currently white) so that it complements the interior of the car. A Seat Cupra lip, Mercedes ML Compressor and yellow insert in the headlights.
He plans to respray the wheels a different colour or purchase a different wheel in the near future. “It’s an old man’s car, I wanted to show that any car can be done with a little imagination.”
Arno’s future plans are also to fit a bigger tank, finish his boot setup and fit bigger airlines.
